St George Community Housing has three main areas of housing products. Community Housing, Supported Housing and Affordable Housing.

SGCH offers secure, long-term housing to people who are eligible for social housing. Applicants for community housing can fill in a single application form to apply for properties managed by Housing NSW and community housing providers. This system is called "Housing Pathways" and has been designed to make applying for housing easier and fairer.

Housing Pathways incorporates a single waiting list that operates across the State. This waiting list combines the list of applicants of both community housing and Housing NSW.

Applicants can now choose whether they would like to be housed with Housing NSW or a community housing provider. If they elect both, this may increase their chances of being housed.

Applicants can go to any participating community housing provider or the local Housing NSW office to lodge an application, update their details or make enquiries as to the progress of their application.

The SGCH supported housing program is housing linked with support, and is designed for people who may have difficulties obtaining or maintaining housing in the public and private market due to their support needs. Vacancies for supported housing are generally filled by clients of SGCH support partners who have formal support agreements with SGCH.

SGCH operates affordable housing programs in several different areas of metropolitan Sydney. Some of this affordable housing is managed by SGCH on behalf of local councils such as Randwick and City of Canada Bay Council. Applicants for affordable housing are required to complete an application form for Affordable Housing and select one or more areas of interest. As some affordable housing programs have different eligibility criteria, you may be contacted by our Access and Demand Team to provide more information to establish your eligibility.
